Haha! Yep, she is!
Bravo to your little joker! I think Out of the Silent Planet is one of the most beautiful book titles ever. Of course, the story itself is pretty neat too!
As much as I love C.S. Lewis, I haven’t actually read the book. I probably should give it a try one of these days.
As I recall, the space series was really good, but really hard for me to get into. It took me a few tries before I got past the first part of the first book, but after that it was great.
That’s what I’ve heard, Isaac. Maybe I’ll give it a go sometime soon.
They can be a bit hard to get in to, but they’re extremely rewarding, especially the last one (on both accounts). More deeply philosophical than Narnia, definitely meant to be thought about, but very beautiful.
I just finished the first book. I couldn’t put it down! Now onto the second. (Which I had to order through Amazon since we only own the first one.)
Great! Perelandra is probably my favorite of them. A truly beautiful book, and a fascinating examination of original sin, and the nature of true purity and innocence.
Well, you all have convinced me to give them a try! They’re now next on my list.
