No-Bake Energy Bites

I stumbled across this awesome recipe a few weeks ago that I thought I would share. These little energy bites are so awesome, and they are healthy so eating one or two or three leaves me feeling not too guilty.

The really nice thing about these energy bites? They are so versatile you can put whatever you want in them. Next time I make these I plan on adding some mini chocolate chips. Yum!

No-Bake Energy Bites

recipe slightly adapted from Smashed Peas and Carrots


  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed or wheat bran
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 T cocoa powder


  1. Mix everything in a large bowl until well-combined. Refrigerate for a half hour. Once chilled, roll into balls!
  2. Keep in an airtight container up to a week in the refrigerator.
  3. Enjoy!

  4. same as recipe for energy bars..flatten in square pan to thickness of 1 inch and cut into rectangles or any geometric design..allow 2 hours to dry on counter or sprinkle with wheat germ or crumbs..store in bags, fridge or freezer..or dare to put in glass jar on the table overnight..and see if any will be left in morning…round or square..

    In order to be a stay at home mommy to our wonderful son, my husband and I downsized into a studio so we don’t have a kitchen, just a stove top.

    So recipes like these (no baking/oven involved) are so helpful for me.

    • Oh, wow! I can’t imagine not having an oven. No baking would kill me… Probably would be a good thing though!

      • We definitely have lowered our cholesterol from not having an oven lol. But I do miss baking so much.

        Well, there’s always your ham and cheese sliders : )
